Joined by long-term teammate Dominic Parkinson as well as two-time Robot Wars champion George Francis of Chaos 2 fame, the original build of Beta showed up in a finished state to compete in the Comedy Central Season 5.0 heavyweight division. The robot was built especially for the show, armored in polycarbonate with stainless steel corner panels, and was armed with a large geared hammer deemed so powerful that it needed incredibly strong magnets to keep the bot from destabilizing.
